This memorial website was created to remember our dearest James Roddy Blake who was born in Lawrence, Ma on March 18, 1948 and passed away on September 22, 2008. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

Obituary

 

 

James R. Blake, 60, of Seabrook, New Hampshire formerly of Salem, New Hampshire, passed away on Monday, September 22nd, 2008 at the Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, MA. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts to the late Walter and June (Roddy) Blake.


 

Mr. Blake was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.

 

 

He was an attendant of Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, Massachusetts and served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany. Mr. Blake worked for Concord Steele as a saw operator and later worked for Frank C. Myers Box Company in Lawrence where he retired in 2001. He believed strongly in the Union and was a big represtative of the Union. Mr. Blake was a member of the Arlington Social Club.


 

Wife of 25 years Mrs. Judith M. (Morris) Blake of Seabrook, New Hampshire, Daughter: Jodi M. Blake and her fiance' Craig Phillips of Abington, MA. 3 Grandchildren: Quiana Blake of Manchester, NH, Emma Davis and McKayla Phillips of Abington, MA. Sister: Jane Ruggiero and her husband Anthony Ruggiero of Methuen, MA. Sisters-in-law: Carol Ball of Lawrence, MA and Ginger and her husband Paul Gaudreau of Methuen, MA Father of the late: James R. Blake, II As well as several nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his beloved Dogs: Princess and Sheba and the late Rusty, who passed away in August.


 

Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Salem, New Hampshire.
